I attended AYABIE’s first live after their 6month hiatus at Shibuya O-EAST on the 19th of this month. It was also Taito’s (AYABIE’s new keyboardist) first live as an official member of AYABIE. Doors opened at about 6pm and the concert started around 6.30pm. The ticket price is 4000 Yen (tax included), all standing.
The crowd waiting to enter the venue.
Standing in the crowd I could sense the excitement of the rest of the fans. After all, AYABIE had been on an activity pause and this is their first live after 6 months. It was obvious that the fans couldn’t contain their eagerness for the live to start.
The moment the band launched into the first song, fans subconsciously started doing the furitsuke for PARADE. During the first MC, Yumehito shouted “Tadaima~” and the crowd responded with a loud “Okaeri!”. He also introduced Taito to the audience and stated that Taito was feeling nervous, as it was his first live as an official member. He casually mentioned that Taito was only 20 and he had participated in music competitions before and could play the drums too. Yumehito expressed his gratitude to the fans for coming to the live and waiting for their return a few times in his MCs as well.
For one particular song, Season, Yumehito’s vocals were only accompanied by Taito playing the grand piano. The crowd fell quiet during the song and stood in awe. The song lists from the lives are :
03.Smoke. Smile. Keeper.
It was a great live. Hopefully I can go for their lives again in the near future ^^
