It was announced that actress Anne, the daughter of Ken Watanabe, has been chosen to be the charity personality for NTV’s annual telethon 24-Hour Television which will air in August. She is a Japanese fashion model, actress, and singer. Anne’s first high-profile modeling season was spring/summer 2006, in which she was featured in runway shows for Anna Sui, Diane von Furstenberg, Tommy Hilfiger, and Vivienne Tam, among others. She also walked for Baby Phat, Imitation of Christ, Karl Lagerfeld, Lacoste, Marc by Marc Jacobs, and Thakoon in subsequent seasons.
Along with her rising popularity as an actrees, this year, together with Kanjani8 –the main personality for 24hrs TV this year–, Anne will liven up the program from the main venue at the Nippon Budokan.
This will be the very first time for Anne to participate in the program. According to the producer, the reason why she was appointed for the big role was that “she is a woman who is loved by everybody regardless of age or gender. We are attracted to how she struggles to give everything her full effort.”
“While getting the power from Kanjani8, and encouraging each other, I would like to manage through it”, Anne said of her ambitions.
