DIR EN GREY to release new album ARCHE

DIR EN GREY announced that they’ll release their 9th album titled ARCHE on 10th December. Some comments from the members about the new album are posted in their official web.

Shinya stated that the title means “the origin” in Greek because this word is taken from the point where the the album has finally taken form since it has been 3 years and 4 months since the release of the last album “DUM SPIRO SPERO” on August 3rd 2011.

Kyo left a comment about how this album is being worked on with him thinking about the past and future of himself as a vocalist, more than he has had ever before. That place where the old Kyo and the new Kyo crosses is what is being put into the 9th album “ARCHE”’.

Die then added that this album is showing their inclination from the musical point of view and that the album ends up with an absolutely new and different sound from DIR EN GREY as compared to the previous album.

Toshiya also said that no matter how he tries to explain this “sound” with words he will never be able to do it.

Kaoru assured that he can’t really be overstating the album, which is yet incomplete, but he asked the fans to wait for that first blow of the force that will be “ARCHE” patiently.
