the GazettE – STANDING LIVE TOUR 16 GRAND FINALE DOGMA -ANOTHER FATE-

Makuhari Messe has hosted important events for many bands. For the GazettE, it is no different. During the live DECADE, the band took their fans to Chiba’s biggest hall, Makuhari Messe, for their 10th birthday. Now, again, all fans were gathered there for the GRAND FINALE DOGMA-ANOTHER FATE- or better known among fans as [FREE LIVE]. A show that marks the end of an era which includes 1 album, 2 singles, 3 national tours in Japan, 1 final and moreover, one world tour that went through several countries like USA, Brazil, France, Mexico and others. You think this is too much, right? Well it was a busy year for members of the GazettE, who were so energetic for the show that night.

But wait, why FREE LIVE? Well, the only people who got tickets for this live were those who exchanged golden ticket at FINAL in Yoyogi Gymnasium and filled out an online application form. Where can fan get the golden ticket? The band creatively put those golden ticket inside their DELUXE EDITION of DOGMA album. Such a crazy idea, right!?

Eager fans waiting early in line to be able to enter the venue, but not for show, but to acquire the goods produced by the band. The well-known RAD MARKET  cool designs are produced by RUKI. Most fans are so in love with the goods such as shirts, mobile phone case, bracelet and even a sneakers! Those goods which were available for sale obviously sold out in a flash!  After the goods sales period ended, the only view of Makuhari Messe area was the fans of the GazettE “uniform”. Black, stylish and obviously looking forward to the show that night.

It was an amazing show, as expected from the GazettE.  The concert brought tons of energy to fans from the beginning when the members entered one by one until the moment that the well-known melody of DOGMA echoed through the hall. That dark mood surrounding each person, the head bang, the screams, all in a rate practically coordinated by the band members, especially by RUKI. An amazing view, that soon became wild when RAGE and DAWN did all the hall tremble. Rescuing a bit of the old releases, like DIVISION, GABRIEL ON THE GALLOWS and VENOMOUS SPIDER’S WEB came with shout of the fans who didn’t seem tired. Claps, headbanging, jumps, you name it! There was so much excitement that it was impossible to stand still! With a song like CLEVER MONKEY your only option was : headbang!

The band members began to move, risking going forward and going to the corners. They absorbed more energy from the fans. Bringing the DOGMA once more, BIZARRE, came with that different melody that carried everything on the live to something dark again. With a black Hall, DEUX and OMINOUS, the band played all songs so intense to darkness that made it clear that it was the GRAND FINALE of a long project.

An incredible performance with a mirrored globe, strong chords, and a drum that could make anyone tremble, it was totally impossible to take away your eyes from the stage. The small calm moment did not last long. THE SUICIDE CIRCUS came to renew the energy of the fans, who loudly sang parts of the song and showed the members they were not tired. INCUBUS and LUCY came with a unique power but ATTITUDE makes everyone tremble. The fans sang along with the members during the intro and all can be heard in the entire building was “UNTIL DIE!” And “BREAK! BREAK! BREAK!”. It was so contagious and soon I realize that in every corner of the hall had an unforgettable moment.

A strong set list that can cause pain on anyone’s neck, can’t be complete without HEADACHE MAN, that came to take fans to their limits! But the the GazettE fan did not lose a good headbang and soon the hall was taken by hair flying. A small mosh went crazy from one side to the other. The hype was like a roller coaster. Such endless fun soon was followed by UGLY that transformed that hall into a live video clip. It was amazing to see and hear the screaming of the fans. Headbang, shouting, hands up. Mess, a huge crazy clamor and commotion, which was continued when BLEMISH made everyone leave the floor shouting “SHAME! SHAME!” with Reita, AOI and URUHA.

This amazing show ended with the band’s latest release, UNDYING. Even with that calm melody, the fans did not spare energy. Not even KAI, as he started beating the melody with an amazing drum solo at the end. As soon as the lights turned on, you can hear the fans asking for an encore. Started not so strong, but soon you can hear it throughout all hall and after a few minutes the members returned. KAI, the band’s leader, thanked for that show with some thankful words. KAI even screamed his gratitude for all the fans without a microphone and that action really can make the fans get more excited! Energy back and with INSIDE BEAST, AKAI ONE PIECE, Filth in the beauty, COCKROACH and TOMORROW NEVER DIES, fans could not get even happier with such GRAND FINALE. After their recent releases and the production of many famous songs, the GazettE wouldn’t be a complete band without their super famous [DOGEZA]. As fans requested, the band returned for the second encore with Kantou dogeza Kumiai!

All I can say is that, I was there in a night with an amazing GRAND FINALE from a great band. The words of thanks from each member at the end of the show warmed my heart. It was the end of DOGMA. After a roundabout, DOGMA came to its final form, and what comes next is a mystery.

We know that on March 10th, 2017 we will have the 15th anniversary of the GazettE, which again will be held in Yoyogi gymnasium to celebrate this moment. A concept aimed the band’s past, can only let the fans get even more excited and be anxious but that surely will be part of a special moment with the GazettE
