Boyfriend (Beta) is a Japanese mobile game published by Ameba Games which combines elements of the popular ‘Card Battle’ genre of mobile games with Otome games. Pronounciation in Japanese is actually “Boyfriend Kako Kari”, Kako means inside box and Kari means beta version. This app could be downloaded for all Android and iOs users. It is basically a card collection game. What makes it different is that it has Otome game elements and voice clips from Seiyuu (Japanese Voice Actors). Curently there are 45 seiyuu and still counting!

The aim of the game is like any other card battle mobage (mobile game). If you have played another japanese mobage in various title, this is all going to be similar. The aim of the game is to basically build a good, strong deck. The reason we need to do this is because this way, we can get various items and collect limited editions cards through events. Why, you ask? Because as humans, we like collecting things. Some people opt to collect all the cards of one character. Some people just want to collect ALL the cards, period (which can be quite hard as in some games, the cards number in the thousands). The better the cards you own, the stronger you are, and the stronger you are, the more people you can defeat and the better you can do in events to obtain cool stuff. So this game basically start with going to class and make love story with all boy character and compiled your card to battle with another user.

Following the previous app, new app from the same publisher titled “Boyfriend (Beta) Kirameki☆Note” will be released today on November 15th! So what’s the different? This app will feature rhythm game from all charasong (solo song and unit song) from the last project, which titled Boyfriend (Beta) Music Project. The different is in this app, all character who sing along with you also will dance together! They appear on 3D chibi forms to make it more kawaii~ Don’t forget to check the download link at the end of this article!

They also added one school rival in this game, 5 students from Seiran High School will involve together in this rhythm game. Seiran High School is an elite school located in Hoshimigaoka. Not only common subjects are learned within this shool, but also entertainment and performance abilities. So what it will be like? Upon the upcoming release, they announced all cast comment from 50 seiyuu who had finished recording for Boyfriend (Beta) KIRAMEKI☆NOTE. What will they say about this new game? 1) Tell us your impression when it’s decided that you will take a part as rival school character in Boyfriend Kari?  I know Boyfriend (Beta) from the very long time and it’s an honor for me to join this game. I also very excited because I like rhythm game itself.

2) What is charm point of your character? Koutarou is a quiet boy, and he often spacing out a lot. He has strong feelings towards Mitsuru, the student council president and also very loyal to him. He’s maybe difficult to understand if you only talk for a while, but since he is actually a good boy, please be friendly!

3) Please greet fans who are looking forward to play “Boyfriend (Beta) Kirameki☆Note”! In these game, characters will be singing and dancing in kawaii chibi forms. They’re very cute, they’re bouncing here and there, so please like them and send all your love to your favorite characters!

1) Tell us your impression when it’s decided that you will take a part as rival school character in Boyfriend Kari? Not as simple as I could joined this game project. Boyfriend (Beta) is a big title, of course I feel the pressure too, but actually I’m so happy I could join as the rival character.

2) What is charm point of your character? I like his cool side! He maybe bit difficult to be loved by you all because of his sharp tongue and sometimes bad mouth. In the other hand he has a lot of good points too like straight forward and when he already decided something, he must be stick into it.
