7 facts about Japan’s Godzilla that you probably never knew

Apart from the Hollywood version controversy, Godzilla has entertained us, human, for years.

Just like the other genre of monsters, mutants, robots stuffs packed in action-thriller story, actually the message is only one; “Humans, be more responsible, will you!?”

This time in the new movie, Godzilla, known as the world’s most famous monster is pitted against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity’s scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence.  Wait…what?? So whose side is Gozilla going to be with? Mankind?

Godzilla is actually a giant monster from a tokusatsu film in Japan. He first appeared in Ishiro Honda’s movie titled Godzilla in 1954 and since then Godzilla has gone on to a worldwide pop culture icon starring in 28 films.  As the film series expanded, some stories took on less serious undertones portraying Godzilla as a hero while other plots still portrayed Godzilla as a destructive monster; sometimes the lesser of two threats who plays the defender by default but is still a danger to humanity. So this time, yeah, maybe he’s going to be a hero.
