While they have announced the event since last month, Sozo has finally revealed some of the guests for Penang Anime Matsuri 2015!
Penang Anime Matsuri is scheduled to take place in Esplanade, Georgetown in Penang, Malaysia, from the 23rd to the 24th of May 2015. The city itself is famous for being a summer beach vacation spot, and hence the event has also been dubbed as Summer Party 2015!
First up, we have the cosplayers, which includes Malaysia’s very own Angie. Angie is known for portraying cute, adorable characters with impeccable details on her costumes. In this picture, Angie is cosplaying Love Live’s Kotori! Angie’s page can be found here.
Following that, we have Ying Tze from Malaysia. Ying Tze is more well-known to be cosplaying more mature characters. She’s known to be putting out extremely detailed, well-put together costumes. Aside of cosplaying, Ying Tze is also known for playing games on livestreaming, so do check out her page!
And then we have the famous male cosplayers duo from China, Hana and Baozi. The duo is famous for cosplaying handsome anime characters down to the T, looking almost like the characters popped out of the screens themselves. If you’re a BL fan, a fan of the popular anime series Free! or just a fan of handsome male characters, do check out this duo at their page!
As for the performers, we have HachioujiP from Japan. HachioujiP is known for his flawless use of Vocaloid in his EDM creations, such as Sweet Devil and Baby Maniacs. He will be performing as a DJ to the sunny Penang on both days of the convention, at an exciting outdoor setting! Curious how his songs are like? Check out his Youtube channel!
Right up next is DJ’Tekina//Something, also known as Yuyoyuppe. While he is more known for his metal and hardcore compositions, Yuyoyuppe is also great at composing EDM songs, as well as putting out awesome remixes! Yuyoyuppe will also be performing as a DJ on both days of the convention. Check out his sounds!
Last in the first wave, but most definitely not the least, we have Yanagi Nagi! While she was certainly great back then with Supercell, Nagi certainly isn’t any less breathtaking when performing alone. Some of her songs have been used as anime theme songs, such as Kimi no Shiranai Monogatari (Bakemonogatari ED) and Aqua Terrarium (Nagi no Asu Kara ED). Click here to go to Nagi’s website.
There are more guests to be announced so do look out for the next waves of announcements!
